So my birthday week has officially come to an end and now it is time to prepare for the stressful time of the year known as exams. From the day of birthday I have had a wonderful time and felt so loved and appreciated by so many people. You never know who you really matter to until you it’s your birthday. The messages and showering of love one receives is so surreal. I am so grateful for the loving efforts that people have shown to me this past week, it really means so much.
I know this isn’t a lifestyle tip post, but I just wanted to share some of my favourite moments with you all, starting with my birthday luncheon. I had so much fun and enjoyed the whole afternoon, everything just came together so perfectly from the decor, to the weather and the company I was surrounded by.

So this season flared jeans are back in style and to be honest I have never really been a huge fan of the flare but it has somehow grown on me and I am now officially obsessed with the style! I even purchased my very first pair and it has quickly become my latest favourite item in my closet, followed closely by my orange Ted Baker coat (check out the post on it). Thank goodness we have left the skinny jeans craze and we are now moving onto better and more chic denim, the 70s style has never looked so good.

Since it is my birthday month and all, I thought I should do a short post about some of the things I’m currently obsessed with that I have added to my wish list. Some of the items have been around for years, but who cares I am still wishing for them. Who knows maybe you can add them onto your own wish list.

Dealing with anxiety is no joke and I’m sure most people like myself deal with it. But some of us have just learned how to deal with our anxiety better than others. Anxiety makes you lose focus in everything you do whether it be schoolwork, work or recreational activities. We don’t all deal with the same kind of anxiety but whatever anxiety it is you can manage it. It takes time, but you will eventually get to the stage of being okay just don’t push yourself too hard.
Maintain a positive attitude: Try make an effort to suppress those negative thoughts when they resurface the mind. Anxiety tends to make you think worse of a situation, try not let that happen. Rather remain positive as much as you can and if that fails, over-exaggerate the situation (I know it’s pretty bizarre) so when it does happen you realise it is not as bad as your thoughts made it seem.
Okay guys, I’m so sorry about all the fashion posts lately but so much has just been happening in the fashion world that it is kind of hard for me to not have a say. So this past week saw a historic fashion moment happening. Chanel became the first international and luxury fashion house to host a fashion show in the Communist country, Cuba which no other fashion luxury brand has been able to do for the last 50 years.
So the Costume Institute Gala or simply known as the Met Gala to many people, is definitely one of the most anticipated fashion events on the calendar. However, it is safe to say I was absolutely disappointed with this year’s fashion. The theme for this year’s exhibition and overall evening was “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” as announced by the Metropolitan Museum of Art. So basically the focus was fashion meets technology along the lines of futuristic and different, got it? Cool. Great. So it’s safe to say that at this year’s event no one necessarily stuck to theme or tried to be daring, it was so boring!

A few people have been wanting to know me how and what I use to edit my photos. First of all most of my photos I take using my iPhone, sometimes now and then I will use a Nikon D5000 camera, so basically my two gadgets are my iPhone and Nikon camera. When it comes to editing my photos I edit them the same way no matter what gadget I used to take the photo.
