Since I moved to Cape Town I have had some of the best experiences – I discovered a new love for different cuisines. The city is filled with cafes, restaurants and bars for every mood and occasion. In the one year that I have officially lived in the city, I’ve continuously been finding new places that make me even more obsessed with this second home of mine. One of my goals for the blog this year and myself is to eat, travel and write more. So I will be sharing and documenting my travels and food experiences with you all. Let’s do this!

I’m kicking it off with a post about one of my favourite places in Cape Town the vibrant and sassy The Grand Africa Cafe and Beach which is ‘beach’ bar and fine dining restaurant. It is situated close by the V&A Waterfront and the bar is absolutely perfect for those summer sundowners.
Atmosphere: The place has a great ambiance that you instantly feel as you walk down the long wooden runaway where you’ll be greeted by a giant heart at the end of it. Although there isn’t a real beach the view overlooking the restaurant makes up for it! The bar area is my favourite part! You can eat and sip on drinks while jiving to some good music in the background.

Decor: The place is definitely Instagram worthy for my fellow Instagram curators. The interior decor is simple and modern yet very dazzling and lively. The set up by the bar area is very informal and chilled – be sure to wear comfy flats if you’re going to be chilling that side. The colour palette is very minimal as well and adds to the sweet summery vibe that it has to offer.
Food & Drinks: The food served at the bar is light meals like pizza and oysters which are very appetising and delicious. With drinks you can never go wrong with a glass of white wine or bubbly. The price of the food and drinks can be rather pricey. I would suggest maybe sharing with someone to allow yourself and your friend/partner to enjoy the experience without having to stress about the bill at the end.

Overall impression: 7.5/10
This is officially the first post of 2018 – to a year of consistency and experiences! May we all grow and continue to inspire each other to reach our full potentials. I’m definitely looking forward to sharing more travel, beauty, fashion and food experiences and tips with all you beautiful people. Please like, share and comment. Also please let me know if there’s anything in particular that you would like to see on the blog.

Nice post, this place looks awesome. Would love to see more images of Cape Town and hear your stories about them. xoxo
